music for the soul

if there's anything the rock band the used reminds me of, it is how close-minded i could be at times in high school. i didn't like their music for really no particular reason other than how they dressed, but i've managed to overcome my self-constraints, and while they're not my favorite band in the world, i do enjoy what they bring to the world of music. last night during ufc 107, clay guida entered the arena to this song and i couldn't help but think, hey i used to hate that song, but it's a pretty fitting entrance song, and its a tight song in general.

SNL

There was a time when SNL hit a low spot in the comedy. Recently it has pulled itself out of the sketch comedy gutter and now has a damn funny show. This skit was funny to me because I try to be somewhat a connoisseur of underground sounds. It also reminded me when the whole rap rock came around so the nostalgia added that little extra. enjoy.
