every now and then, i go through kicks when i listen to music from strictly one group, whether that be a new group or old group. lately, and i'm not sure why, but it's been the temptations.

i think it was right around 8th or 9th grade when i first reallllly heart of the temptations. sure, when i was younger, like most kids, i had heard some of their songs, particularly my girl but 

i wasn't really familiar with the group. but when remember the titans came out, it featured so much music from the era, including one of my favorite temptations songs aint too proud to beg i had already put the temptations into my digital library. 

sometime between 9th grade and now, as a matter of fact, it may have been before 9th grade, when it actually premiered, i saw the nbc mini-series the temptations starring leon robinson as david ruffin. ever since, this has been one of my favorite movies, as it offered the closest thing to a look into the lives of the actual tempts that i would ever see, despite the fact that a number of parties actually sued otis williams and nbc for their depictions in the movie.

last week, i caught the movie again on vh1 and i still enjoy watching it, especially leon robinson's depiction of david ruffin. i plan on going grab the dvd at best buy sometime soon... as long as the bastards have it in stock. until then, i leave you with some of my favorite clips from the movie that i could actually find.
